Prof. Dr J D Daryani MD (Hom.)
Prof. Dr JD Daryani is a renowned homoeopath having rich experience of more than 50 years in clinical as well as in Academics in the field of Homoeopathy. His contributions have played a significant role in the advancement of homoeopathic education and practice in India and have earned him recognition both nationally and internationally. His father was an allopathic physician. Dr Daryani developed interest in Homeopathy after his mother got cured of joints pains with this miraculous system of medicine. He entered in the field of homeopathy in 1967 when homeopathy was not much popular or accepted by the general masses nor was officially recognised system of medicine in India. Initially, he was criticised for becoming homeopath by his known people including family members but he took his life as challenge and today, he has reached to the horizon one can dream for.
Professional Career
Prof. Dr. J. D. Daryani completed his DHMS from Rajasthan Homoeopathic Medical College, Jaipur (1972) and later earned his MD (Hom.) in Repertory from the University of Rajasthan (2001) under the guidance of the renowned homoeopathic scholar Late Dr. Anil Bhatia.
He began his academic career as a Lecturer in Materia Medica at Dr. MPK Homoeopathic Medical College, Jaipur, and subsequently served as Professor and Head of the Department of Repertory. His growth as an educator was greatly influenced by Prof. Dr. M. P. Arya and Late Prof. Dr. D. P. Rastogi, whose mentorship helped shape him into an exceptional teacher and academic leader.
Dr. Daryani has served as Guide, Supervisor, PG Coordinator and Examiner for MD (Hom.) and PhD (Hom.) programmes at various universities. More than 200 postgraduate and doctoral scholars have completed their studies under his guidance and have gone on to become successful teachers, researchers and practitioners.
He has also served as Visiting Professor and Guest Faculty at various institutions including the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Kolkata, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. He was a National Resource Person for the “Homoeopathy for Healthy Mother & Happy Child” campaign and contributed extensively to Teachers’ Orientation Training Programmes (ROTP/TOT) conducted under the Ministry of AYUSH.
