About Dr Eswara Das
Earlier Dr Eswara Das was working as Consultant Adviser (Homoeopathy) in the Ministry of AYUSH,Government of India, Senior Consultant (Homeopathy) at Homeopathic Treatment Center, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata and Specialist Validator in the Center for Health Informatics, National Health Portal, Government of India. During his tenure as Director, the National Institute of Homeopathy prospered to its zenith with global recognition.
Recently Government of India has nominated him as one of the Governing Body as well in the Standing Finance Committee of the Central council for Research in Homeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH.
Dr Das has done his D.H.M.S from Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Council, 1973 with First class and First Rank, Dip NIH from National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata in 1979 with Honors, Diploma in Hospital Administration from YMCA Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi in 1984, M.D in Repertory from B.A.Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. PhD from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and M.B.A. with specialization in Health Care Management from the prestigious Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi in 2002 with First Class.
Dr Das joined the Government of India service in 1979 as a Medical Officer in Central Government Health Scheme and occupied the posts of Assistant Adviser, Deputy Adviser and Joint Adviser (Homeopathy). During this period he was associated with policy matters in Government. He also worked as Consultant (Homeopathy) in the Ministry of Indigenous Medicine, Government of Sri Lanka and made a footprint on Homeopathy in that country.
He was awarded with the Homoeopath of the year 2008 award by the Board of Homoeopathic system of Medicine, Delhi, Lifetime Achievement award in 2010 by the Center for Advanced Studies in Homoeopathy, Scroll of Honour award in 2011 by LIGA Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis, Geneva on the occasion of 66th World Homoeopathic Congress, 2011. Dr Das is also the recipient of Significant Contribution Award on Alternative Medicine on the occasion of International Conference on Multidisciplinary Health Care by All India Institute of Medical Sciences -2014
Dr Das has published numerous scientific articles in leading journals and participated in several National and international seminars including the WHO workshop on quality assurance and Standardization of Homoeopathic Medicines, Milan, Italy.
Dr Das is known for his academic excellence, clinical skill,administrative acumen. He is also the Chairman of the Global Homeopathy Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization working on spreading the strength of Homeopathy. He is also the Chief Editor of the peer reviewed Journal, the Advancements in Homeopathic Research.
